Day 1: KIDE CareStart™ Training Program Day 1: Professional Foundations & Mindset for a Caregiver
Day 1 of the KIDE CareStart™ training focuses on building the right mindset, attitude, and professional identity required to succeed as a nanny, housekeeper, or caregiver. The day sets the foundation for all practical skills that follow during the training. Participants begin by understanding that domestic work is dignified, professional, and highly valuable, especially in modern Ghanaian households where families rely on trusted caregivers to support their homes, children, and elderly relatives. Trainees learn that their role goes beyond cleaning or childcare; they become trusted partners in maintaining the well-being and smooth functioning of a household. The session introduces the different roles within domestic work, including nanny, housekeeper, and caregiver, while explaining how responsibilities may sometimes overlap. Participants learn the importance of understanding their job descriptions clearly and respecting the expectations of each household they work in.
